There has been a report of two nearby burglaries which took place Thanksgiving afternoon. These confirmed break-ins occurred in the Hidden Lakes Subdivision (Plato Township)
Additionally, the Kane County Sheriff website lists a reported break-in that occurred last week in the Stonecrest subdivision off Russell Road.

Please take note of these useful tips:
• Keep your doors and windows secured. Consider closing window treatments while you are away.
• Ensure your outdoor lights are working. Leave them on at night.
• Check your cameras. Make sure they are in good working order and are backed up properly.
• Communicate with neighbors. Share your cell phone number to exchange texts and calls.
• Going out of town? Let a trusted neighbor know so they can keep an eye on your property.
• Watch out for each other’s homes. If you notice anything suspicious, please report it immediately to the Kane County Sheriff (911)
