Road Closures to Occur at
U.S. Route 30 and Dauberman Road
March 7, 2024 - Temporary daily lane closures are scheduled to occur in both directions of US Route 30 at Dauberman Road on Tuesday, March 12th and on Thursday, March 14th, weather and logistics permitting. US Route 30 will undergo intermittent roadway closures in both directions to allow crews to safely off-load and set the new bridge beams over US Route 30 at Dauberman Road and the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway in Big Rock, IL.

These roadway closures are estimated to last 15 to 20 minutes each and will occur throughout both days between the hours of 4 am and 5 pm. These temporary road closures are being done for the safety of the public and to allow crews better access to the site.

This closure is part of the continued construction of the Dauberman Road extension project which consists of widening, reconstruction, and extending Dauberman Road from US 30 to Granart Road. Single span bridges will be constructed on Dauberman Road over US 30 and over the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway. The work will consist of earthwork, pavement removal, roadway reconstruction, pavement widening, sidewalk and multi-use path, storm sewer, landscaping and bridge construction. The anticipated completion date for the project is November 2024, weather permitting.
